Deadwood Touring & Devils Tower
Our The town of Deadwood was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1967 and preserves the history and legends of the Wild West from its beginnings as a mining town. A brief tour of the town takes you along the same streets walked by Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane. Also visit Boot Hill, the final resting place of some of Deadwood’s
famous citizens. Crossing into Wyoming today, come to Devils Tower National Monument. Towering 1,267 feet above Belle Fourche River, this looming monolith served as the backdrop for the classic Steven Spielberg film Close Encounters of the Third Kind. (B, D)

Arrive in Baltimore / Top of the World Observatory
This morning we head north to the Star Spangled City. Upon arrival experience a breathtaking view of Baltimore’s skyline during our visit to Top of the World Observatory. Baltimore is rich in history, with monuments and historic sites commemorating significant periods in history. It was here that Francis Scott Key penned a poem entitled “Defence of Fort M’Henry,” which officially became the United State’s national anthem. We’ll spend two nights at the Courtyard Baltimore Downtown/Inner Harbor. Dinner is included at a local restaurant this evening. (D)
Day 2 - Friday - July 16
Sightseeing Tour / National Aquarium
Baltimore’s Inner Harbor is a historic seaport filled with numerous attractions, restaurants, and shops. A morning tour with our local guide acquaints us with the highlights of the city. We’ll get the “inside scoop” from Camden Yards, City Hall, Johns Hopkins Hospital, the Flag House and Fort McHenry where we’ll view a wonderful film and enjoy the exhibits. It’s history, it’s heroes, and it’s hot spots - experience this informative and entertaining trip through “Charm City.” Noon finds us at Inner Harbor’s Phillips Seafood House for a scrumptious included lunch. Then we’re off to visit the outstanding National Aquarium featuring over 9,000 creatures, representing 600 different species of mammals, fish, birds, reptiles, and amphibians in naturalistic habitats - truly amazing. Our evening is free and dinner is on our own. (B,L)

B & O Railroad Museum / Travel Home
Depart our hotel and head to the B & O Railroad Museum celebrating the 200th Anniversary of its charter this year. The Birthplace of American railroading, the B & O possesses the oldest, most historic railroad collections in the world, including locomotives, rolling stock and the finest collection of 19th century steam locomotives. Get an in-depth look at locomotive restoration, operations, and historic tools. Following lunch on our own we head for home bringing with us fond memories of our “star spangled” travels. (B)

Be immersed in an underwater world, and witness the giant whale that swallows God’s misguided prophet. Jonah will have us laughing and crying with a man who discovers the unfathomable mercy of God. The Little Mermaid at Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre / Home
Wake up in the quaint countryside of Amish Country! Following our included breakfast we wander through the backroads and continue to Kitchen Kettle Village filled with jams, jellies, and local products. Soon we arrive at Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre for lunch and a matinee performance of The Little Mermaid. Enjoy this beloved classic telling the story of Ariel, a young mermaid princess who gives up her beautiful voice when she makes a deal with a sea witch to become human, seeking the love of a prince. Includes songs Under the Sea, Kiss the Girl, and Part of Your World. Following our show we will reboard our coach for the trip home. (B,L)

Wallace, Idaho and Kalispell, Montana
After Wallace, Idaho, is an old mining town and is one of the few places where the entire town is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It has one of the best collections of turn-of-the-century architecture in the Pacific Northwest. There are several interesting museums that offer a glimpse into the fascinating history of the area.
Continue into Montana and travel along the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi, Flathead Lake. More than 28 miles long, it occupies a trough dredged out by a great glacier about 12,000 years ago. Meals: B, D
Day 3 - Tuesday - July 27
Glacier National Park
This Welcome to Glacier National Park! Founded in 1910, the park is a land of mountain ranges carved by prehistoric ice rivers. The vistas seen from Going-to-the-Sun Road, named one of the top 100 scenic drives, are breathtaking and a photographer’s paradise. The best way to travel is via the Red Buses whose drivers are known as “jammers.”
The antique red buses are both a symbol of the park and a reminder of a time when adventurous travel was done with style. The name “jammer” is carried over from the days when the buses had standard transmissions and the drivers could be heard “jamming” the gears as they drove up and down the rugged mountainous highway. Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park
Travel north into Canada to Waterton Lakes National Park and embark on a boat cruise of Upper Waterton Lake, with its deep scenic bays, sheer vertical mountains and beautiful wilderness surroundings. Depart for Great Falls today. This area held great significance for the Lewis & Clark Expedition. You visit the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center to learn about the explorers who were forced to spend nearly a month around the falls in June 1805. years ago. Then visit the C. M. Russell Museum, a gifted artist who masterfully captured art and soul of the American West. Meals: B, D

The Gates of the Mountain Cruise

Miracle of America Museum and Flathead Lake Cruise
Take the drive to Polson this morning for a visit to the Miracle of America Museum. The collection of “Americana” artifacts is in the thousands and is scattered throughout an handful of buildings. Continue up the west side of the lake to the town of Lakeside to climb aboard your vessel for a narrated cruise on scenic Flathead Lake. The largest natural fresh water lake west of the Great Lakes, Flathead Lake’s breathtaking splendor is sure to please. Return to Missoula for a farewell dinner hosted by your Tour Manager.
