Deadwood Touring & Devils Tower
Our The town of Deadwood was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1967 and preserves the history and legends of the Wild West from its beginnings as a mining town. A brief tour of the town takes you along the same streets walked by Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane. Also visit Boot Hill, the final resting place of some of Deadwood’s
famous citizens. Crossing into Wyoming today, come to Devils Tower National Monument. Towering 1,267 feet above Belle Fourche River, this looming monolith served as the backdrop for the classic Steven Spielberg film Close Encounters of the Third Kind. (B, D)

Day 2 - Monday - July 26
Wallace, Idaho and Kalispell, Montana
After Wallace, Idaho, is an old mining town and is one of the few places where the entire town is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It has one of the best collections of turn-of-the-century architecture in the Pacific Northwest. There are several interesting museums that offer a glimpse into the fascinating history of the area.
Continue into Montana and travel along the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi, Flathead Lake. More than 28 miles long, it occupies a trough dredged out by a great glacier about 12,000 years ago. Meals: B, D
Day 3 - Tuesday - July 27
Glacier National Park
This Welcome to Glacier National Park! Founded in 1910, the park is a land of mountain ranges carved by prehistoric ice rivers. The vistas seen from Going-to-the-Sun Road, named one of the top 100 scenic drives, are breathtaking and a photographer’s paradise. The best way to travel is via the Red Buses whose drivers are known as “jammers.”
The antique red buses are both a symbol of the park and a reminder of a time when adventurous travel was done with style. The name “jammer” is carried over from the days when the buses had standard transmissions and the drivers could be heard “jamming” the gears as they drove up and down the rugged mountainous highway. Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park
Travel north into Canada to Waterton Lakes National Park and embark on a boat cruise of Upper Waterton Lake, with its deep scenic bays, sheer vertical mountains and beautiful wilderness surroundings. Depart for Great Falls today. This area held great significance for the Lewis & Clark Expedition. Miracle of America Museum and Flathead Lake Cruise
Take the drive to Polson this morning for a visit to the Miracle of America Museum. The collection of “Americana” artifacts is in the thousands and is scattered throughout an handful of buildings. Continue up the west side of the lake to the town of Lakeside to climb aboard your vessel for a narrated cruise on scenic Flathead Lake. The largest natural fresh water lake west of the Great Lakes, Flathead Lake’s breathtaking splendor is sure to please. Return to Missoula for a farewell dinner hosted by your Tour Manager. Today’s adventure begins with the motorcoach journey through the rolling hills of the Scottish countryside en-route to England. Enjoy the scenic wonders of northern England with a visit to the Lake District. Wander through the picture-postcard village of Grasmere with the local guide and see the historical sites associated with William Woodsworth. A walking tour of this picturesque city with its Tudor-style buildings, ancient ruins and a complete city wall starts your day. Discover the history of the city’s former occupations by the Romans, Vikings, Danes, Saxons, Scots and Normans, while viewing the medieval half- timbered houses (some dating back to the 13th century), the Eastgate Clock (the 2nd most photographed clock in the UK, behind Big Ben), the Chester Cathedral and the ‘Rows’ – the highlight of the city center. Departing Chester, continue to another capital city, Cardiff, Wales. Enroute, a stop is made in the traditional English town of Stratford-upon- Avon with its typical oak-beamed, gable-roofed houses. Visit the most famous house in town, the birthplace and childhood home of the Bard himself, William Shakespeare. You’ll also see the school where
he received his education, and the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, erected in his memory. Continuing on, experience the beauty of the Cotswolds- rolling hills (“wolds”), river valleys, and sleepy villages where houses made from the Cotswold Stone and cozy shops line the meandering streets. The day begins with a guided tour of Cardiff, the largest city in Wales. During the panoramic portion, your local guide will point out architectural sites that range from historic to modern, as well as provide history of the city. On the included visit to Cardiff Castle, whose walls conceal 2,000 years of history, you’ll discover stories from the times of the Romans, Normans, Vikings, Victorian Era and even WWII. Cardiff - Waterford, Ireland
A late morning departure from the hotel takes you to the port for embarkation of the ferry and the journey across the Irish Sea to Rosslare, Ireland. Upon arrival, continue by coach to the Waterford area for two nights’ accommodation. Meal: B

Waterford / Blarney
Today’s excursion discovers the sites of Waterford and Blarney. On a visit to the House of Waterford Crystal, witness the master craftsmen at work as you watch the process of transforming a ball of red-hot molten crystal into an elegantly crafted piece of art. Continue on to Blarney where there is time for lunch on your own before visiting the famed Castle known the world over as home to the “Stone of Eloquence” or the Blarney Stone. Legend has it, if you climb to the top of the castle and kiss the stone, you will never be lost for words and will receive the “gift of gab”. The grounds of the castle are a curious place of ancient trees and stones, by legend a garden of Druid origin. The park has an aura of magic and mystique with Wishing Steps, Witch’s Kitchen, Druid’s Cave and many other delights, telling a story of centuries past. Return to Waterford for an included dinner. Waterford - Dublin
Leaving Waterford, travel to Dublin, the last capital city to be experienced on your journey through the British Isles. On the guided panoramic tour of this historic city, travel along O’Connell Street with its monument to Daniel O’Connell and other figures from Irish History. See the General Post Office, one of Ireland’s most famous buildings, that was the rebel headquarters in the 1916 Easter Rising. Cross over the River Liffey which flows through the center of the city and catch a glimpse of the Temple Bar area. Visit Trinity College and see the Book of Kells, the famous 8th-century hand-illuminated gospel manuscript. See Grafton Street, one of the main pedestrian-zoned shopping streets and drive through Georgian Dublin, with the beautiful 18th- century houses and squares. Pass the National Museum, Parliament Building and St. Stephen’s Green before returning to the hotel for an afternoon at leisure. Climb aboard an official logger steam train for a narrated ride through the stunning landscape where lumberjacks once felled these mighty trees. Arches National Park and Colorado River Float Trip
Arches National Park contains the largest concentration of stone arches in the world. A local guide shows you the massive sandstone arches and describes the culture of those that have occupied the region. Discover the Grand Canyon's North Rim
Depart Page and visit the impressive Colorado River Gorge at Navajo Bridge and take a scenic drive along Vermillion Cliffs National Monument. Then, continue to experience the wonders of the Grand Canyon’s North Rim. From the North Rim Lodge, enjoy incomparable views of this gaping chasm, about one mile deep and ten miles across. Those who have visited the heavily-traveled South Rim will be surprised to see that the views and environment are distinctively different here. Bryce Canyon National Park
Begin the day with a drive to the famed “Pink Cliffs” of Bryce Canyon National Park. After an included lunch at a local restaurant, return to the hotel for an afternoon at leisure.

Cairo / Grand Egyptian Museum / The Great Pyramids of Giza
After breakfast, tour the Grand Egyptian Museum. See the spectacular treasures of King Tutankhamen and the extensive collection of Egyptian artifacts covering 5,000 years of history. Following an included lunch, depart for the Giza Plateau to witness the last remaining “wonder” of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The Great Pyramids of Giza are perhaps the most famous and discussed structure in history. Day 5 - Monday - November 1
Cairo / Luxor / Embark on Jaz Regent Riverboat
Depart for the Cairo airport for an early morning flight to Luxor, previously known as Thebes, and founded in 1400 BC. Upon arrival, exploration begins with a visit to the temples. Two grandiose seated statues greet you upon entering the Luxor Temple Complex, one of the best-preserved ancient sites in the world. Filled with courtyards, statues, and a 32-column Hypostyle Hall, the grounds are sure to amaze. In comparison, the Karnak Temple Complex is much larger and is the largest religious building ever constructed.
Decayed temples, chapels, pylons, and a large Hypostyle Hall with carved columns will leave you in awe. Reboard the coach for the short journey to the embarkation point of your ship. Enjoy a relaxing lunch onboard and time to acquaint yourself with the amenities of the vessel. This afternoon, join your guide for a visit to the Papyrus Institute to learn about this important product, how it’s made, and its use throughout history. Meals: B, L, D
Day 6 - Tuesday - November 2
Luxor / Edfu
Begin the day with an optional sunrise hot air balloon ride over the amazing sites of the area. After breakfast, today’s excursion visits the stunning tombs at the Valley of the Kings where, for a period of nearly 500 years, tombs were constructed for the Pharaohs and powerful nobles of the New Kingdom. The walls of the tombs are covered with
hieroglyphic writing including text from the Book of the Dead. You’ll visit King Tut’s tomb, and the Queen Hatshepsut Temple which took fifteen years to complete, between the 7th and the 22nd years of her reign. A photo stop is made by the giant Colossi of Memnon before reboarding the ship and departing Luxor. This afternoon, sail to Edfu located on the west bank of the Nile River, some sixty miles south of Luxor. Its ancient name was Wetjeset-Hrw, or “The Place Where Horus is Extolled”. Meals: B, L, D

Day 7 - Wednesday - November 3
Edfu / Kom Ombo
After breakfast, visit the Temple of Horus in Edfu which is dedicated to Horus, the falcon-headed god. Not only is this the best preserved ancient temple in Egypt, but it is the second largest after Karnak. In the afternoon, sail to Kom Ombo, a pleasant agricultural town and home to many Nubians. Upon arrival, visit the unusual Temple of Kom Ombo dedicated to both Horus and the crocodile god Sobek. After re-embarking, the ship sails for Aswan. Relax on the Sun Deck as you cruise along the Nile. Meals: B, L, D
Day 8 - Thursday - November 4
Aswan / Temple of Philae / Scenic Felucca Ride
After breakfast, enjoy a tour to the lovely Temple of Philae, one of the last outposts of Egyptian religion, surviving two centuries after the Roman Empire converted to Christianity. This afternoon, enjoy a scenic felucca ride on the Nile. A felucca is a traditional sailboat, relying solely on wind-power, used to transport people and goods on the river. What a great way to enjoy some of the stunning views of the Nile, just as Cleopatra did so many centuries ago! Meals: B, L, D
Day 9 - Friday - November 5
Aswan / Abu Simbel / Cairo
This morning, it’s time to disembark the vessel and encounter one final spectacular sight. Transfer to the Aswan airport for the short flight to Abu Simbel for a visit of the UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the “Nubian Monuments”. Built by one of Egypt’s greatest Pharaoh’s, Ramses II, the larger temple celebrates himself, and the smaller honors his favorite wife, Queen Nefertari. A light lunch is provided at the airport before re-boarding the flight to Cairo. This evening, your Tour Manager hosts a farewell dinner at the hotel. Meals: B, L, D

Explore the visitor center, view a film and the exhibits before heading off to see the sights of Honolulu. Set in a real dormant volcano, visit Punchbowl Crater to take a drive through the National Cemetery of the Pacific. Fly to Hilo on the Island of Hawaii (the Big Island). Ascend the rugged countryside to Volcanoes National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Visit Volcanoes National Park Visitor Center to learn all about the geology and history of the volcano. Then depart to see the unique Punaluu Black Sand Volcanic Beach. Later journey to the Kona Coast area and check into our resort for a 2-night stay. After settling in, travel to the historic fishing village of Kailua Kona, referred to by the locals as Kona or Kona town. Enjoy dinner in Kona at a popular local restaurant including a choice of a two special local brews - a draft from the Kona Brewing Company or an authentic cup of Kona Coffee. (B)
