A world of enjoyment awaits aboard Royal Caribbean’sGrandeur of the Seas! This nine-night cruise departing from Baltimore, Maryland, sails along the scenic Eastern Seaboard with ports of call at Boston, Massachusetts, Portland and Bar Harbor, Maine; Saint John, New Brunswick (Bay of Fundy), and Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Boston, Massachusetts

In the United States’ oldest city, colonial heritage is the backdrop for an inviting mix of culture and lively street life. See where Revolutionary history took place along Boston’s Freedom Trail.

Portland, Maine

Portland’s heart is the lively Old Port of narrow cobblestone streets and restored brick warehouses filled with shops, restaurants and cafes. The district has a working waterfront where fisherman haul in the day’s catch.

Bar Harbor, Maine

Nestled on the shores of Mount Desert Island and surrounded by Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor features some of the most spectacular scenery imaginable. The rock bound Coast, soaring granite cliffs, majestic mountains, and blue waters have attracted the Rockefellers, Astors, and Vanderbilts for over 200 years, and they continue to enchant visitors today.

Saint John, New Brunswick

Founded by Loyalists escaping the Revolutionary War in 1785, Saint John has emerged as a thriving port city. Its restored historic waterfront and surrounding natural beauty have made Saint John a wonderful destination. While we're here, we may want to add an excursion to the amazing Reversing Falls Rapids, Saint John's best known attraction. Twice daily the powerful tides of the Bay of Fundy rise faster than the river can empty. When this happens, the tide attempts to push the river back upstream, then the tide ebbs, and the river appears to reverse itself and flow over the rocks, creating the appearance of reversing rapids.

Halifax, Nova Scotia

Welcome to Halifax, the capital city of Nova Scotia. Peggy's Cove, Citadel Hill, and the Acadian Country are just a few of the sights that will herald our arrival here. The Historic Properties located along the waterfront have been fully restored, and the cobblestone streets and long boardwalks are lined with a wonderful array of boutiques, cafes and pubs.

Welcome aboard our motorcoach, we're en route north for a great fall vacation as we journey to the Southbury, Connecticut, area for our overnight stay.

Day 2 - Newport, Rhode Island/Ten-Mile Drive/Cape Cod

Today we travel to Newport, Rhode Island. Enjoy the charm of historic buildings and restored homes, take in the rugged beauty of Ten-Mile Drive, and marvel at the fabulous mansions along tree-lined Bellevue Avenue. We’ll visit one of these lavish homes of millionaires from the Gilded Age. On to the sandy shores of Cape Cod extending some 70 miles into the sea. The Cape is home to both natural beauty and quaint colonial villages. Spend two nights in Hyannis, Massachusetts, with dinner included. (D)

Board the ferry to Martha’s Vineyard and enjoy a sightseeing tour of the island. Learn about the history and lifestyles of the islanders, visit the historic whaling town of Edgartown and complete our day in Oak Bluffs. We may choose to stroll through “Cottage City” with its brightly painted cottages adorned with decorative “gingerbread” trim. Return to the mainland for a lobster dinner with all the trimmings. A special evening awaits as we board the Cafe Lafayette Dinner Train for an experience we’ll long remember. While riding in vintage restored pullman cars and enjoying an elegant five-course feast, we journey through lush New England forests and mountain vistas. (B,D)
