Day 1 - Arrive at Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort

Nestled in the beautiful foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in Pigeon Forge, located next to Dollywood, is a gorgeous new resort providing a unique vacation experience centered around the rich traditions of storytelling, family, and togetherness. By mid afternoon we’ll arrive for this memorable visit. Just recently opened, this resort will be featured in Southern Living magazine as well as on the Travel Channel. During our stay enjoy premium amenities like indoor and outdoor swimming pools; live entertainment; a farmhouse restaurant, Song & Hearth: A Southern Eatery; as well as DM Pantry, a grab and go restaurant. Stroll through Pokeberry Lane, a quaint retail shop featuring items reflecting the charm and beauty of life in the South. Enjoy free time to unwind, grab a rocking chair on the front porch and take in beautiful mountain scenery.

Day 2 - Visit Dollywood

Discover a world of Smoky Mountain Fun at Dollywood, the entertainment capital of the Smokies. The combination of country music shows, family rides, delicious country cookin’ and mountain artisans will make our day extra special. Afterwards, return to our resort in plenty of time to have a wonderful evening enjoying the amenities.

Day 3 - Enjoy the Resort/Home

This morning continue to discover and enjoy the facilities of the resort. An optional excursion will be offered to explore The Island in Pigeon Forge. This new retail and entertainment complex is filled with attractions including the Smoky Mountain Wheel, as well as a variety of eateries. Among these are Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen and Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville. Early afternoon we’ll board our coach for the return trip home. This has been a delightful experience and a fun time here in the Great Smoky Mountains!

All roads lead to Holland - Holland, Michigan - that is! The Tulip Time Festival is celebrating its 88th year. Come along as we celebrate the blooming of millions of Dutch Tulips...the prettiest you’ve ever seen. Like a visit to the Old Country...wooden shoes are made here and worn too. Parades, Dutch dancers, entertainment, dinner shows and Dutch markets are all a part of the festivities. Put a little color into your life at this Spring Festival.
 

Day 1 - Travel to Ohio Amish Country

All aboard for a great trip to Holland, Michigan, for the world renowned Tulip Time Festival. This annual event is chock-full of exciting happenings, the best of which are gardens overflowing with colorful tulips. Today we travel into Ohio’s Amish country for our overnight stop. Our special evening includes dinner in an Amish home. (D)

Day 2 - Holland Tulip Festival

Travel into the heart of Holland where the festivities of the Tulip Festival are in full swing. Here, more than 800 high school girls in authentic Dutch costumes and wooden shoes perform Dutch Folk street dances. We’ll check into our hotel for a two-night stay. Enjoy an included dinner and attend a Dutch Celebration Show, a tribute to Dutch customs, traditions and history. (CB,D)

Day 3 - Holland Tulip Festival/Guided Tour

Today enjoy an inside look at Holland and the Tulip Festival with our local costumed guide. Visit acres of gardens laden with colorful tulips and view Big Red on the shores of Lake Michigan, Holland’s own lighthouse. Then enjoy the Klompen Dancers, performing old-world style Dutch dances in authentic costumes and wooden shoes. Enjoy a culinary experience making a traditional Dutch “koffee kletz” snack, and lunch. This afternoon we have reserved seats to watch the Volksparade viewing a brigade of costumed scrubbers cleaning the streets, and then the parade begins! Together we enjoy an included dinner and evening entertainment. (CB,L,D)

Day 4 - Wooden Shoe Factory/Windmill IslandTravel to Ohio

The festivities continue in Holland...visit the Wooden Shoe Factory to see a carver create wooden shoes from a block of wood. Tour the only Blue Delfth Factory in the U.S., and visit Windmill Island with its 249-year-old windmill, “DeZwann.” Browse Holland’s own re-created small “Dutch Town” with bridges, canals and gardens. Later this afternoon we say farewell and travel south to Ohio to spend our final night. (CB))

Day 5 - Journey Home

Today we make our way home, reminiscing about the thousands of tulips and all the attractions we have enjoyed at this grand festival. (CB)

Day 1 - Arrive in Lancaster/Jonah

Join Shenandoah Tours as we travel by motorcoach to the heart of Pennsylvania’s Amish Country. Arriving mid afternoon we’ll attend the production of Jonah at Sight and Sound’s Millennium Theatre. Set sail on an extraordinary journey with one of the Bible’s most colorful prophets! Experience the mighty storm at sea that breaks apart a 40-foot-tall ship. Then be immersed in an underwater world, and witness the giant fish that swallows God’s misguided prophet. Jonah will have us laughing, crying and identifying with a man who rediscovers the unfathomable mercy of God. Dinner is included afterwards at a favorite Amish restaurant. Day 2 - Dutch Apple Theatre/Second Chances/Home

Wake up in the wonderful world of the “Plain People,” and enjoy the sights and sounds of Amish country. We can choose to visit either the nearby farmers market or Kitchen Kettle, brimming with farm fresh goodies. Afterwards we are en route to Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre for lunch and a matinee performance of Second Chances, The Thrift Shop Musical. Meet the eclectic characters of the Church Thrift Shop and laugh and cry as they learn how to love again, deal with possibly losing their lease, and finding new friends. Everyone deserves a second chance! If you loved Church Basement Ladies, you’ll adore these lovable characters. Afterwards, we’ll board our coach for the trip home. (B,L)

Our city tour includes Nashville’s major sites including Music Row, the Honky Tonk Scene, and past the Historic Ryman Auditorium and stately homes of some of Country Music’s legendary performers. Later, we’ll tour the Country Music Hall of Fame, the largest music museum in the world, housing exhibits and memorabilia from music greats. This evening a special treat is in store for us at the Grand Ole Opry showcasing the best in country music stars. Enjoy your day and evening here in this grand city. (B)

Day 3 - Opry Backstage Tour/FontanelGeneral Jackson Cruise

Learn the fascinating story of the Opry on our backstage tour with a behind the scenes look at the show that made country music famous. Later we visit Fontanel, former home of Barbara Mandrell, where we can actually go inside the home of a star. This 33,000 square foot log cabin is filled with memorabilia and photos of the Mandrel family. Return to our hotel with time to wander through the gardens. This evening we board the General Jackson Showboat for dinner and a musical revue. (B,D)

Day 4 - Home
