And away we go with Shenandoah Tours for this  world of entertainment at its best.  Return to the world of yesteryear with top musicians, famed orchestras, the comedy of Bob Hope, the harmony of the Andrew Sisters, and the Glenn Miller Air Force Band.  Don’t miss this, the finest in wholesome entertainment.

Day 1 * Tuesday * October 16
All aboard our coach for our trip to Virginia Beach. This tour is filled to the brim with awesome entertainment, excellent meals, and pleasing attractions.  Our first stop is Hampton, Virginia, where we visit the Air and Space Center featuring dozens of hands-on air and space exhibits, a premiere interactive aviation gallery that spans 100 years of flight, more than 30 historic aircraft, unique space flight artifacts and more.  On to Virginia Beach where lodging awaits for two nights. This evening’s events are hosted by the Cavalier Hotel where the Big Bands of the 30's, 40's, and 50's played in the oceanfront ballroom on Saturday Nights.  Enjoy a candlelight seafood buffet.  As dinner concludes the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra takes the stage and performs a couple of appropriate numbers prior to the headline event, “The Sinatra Legacy.”  A tribute artist honors the music of Frank Sinatra as he performs such hits as Come Fly with Me, The Lady is a Tramp, Fly Me to the Moon, and more.  (D)

Day 2 * Wednesday * October 17
Enjoy a free morning at our oceanfront hotel.  An optional shopping trip is planned to Hilltop, Virginia Beach’s premier shopping complex.  Mid afternoon finds us at the Military Aviation Museum to visit hangars filled with military aircraft from WWI and WWII.  Then we take our seats by the airfield for “Swingtime in the Skies.”  But wait, there’s Bob Hope with the Glenn Miller AAF Band driving up in an English Double Decker Bus, and oh, there’s the Andrews Sisters waving!  It’s time for the “Swingtime in the Skies” Air Show, featuring historic planes and music of the era with flyovers of both Tri-Planes and Bi-Planes.  Afterwards enjoy a Southern Style Cookout in the hangar before traveling to the Sandler Center for King Neptune’s USO Show.  Enjoy a nostalgic “Thanks for the Memories” evening with the comedy of Bob Hope, the harmony of the Andrews Sisters, and an orchestra that is a tribute to the greatest military band of all time...the Glenn Miller AAF Band.  The entire evening is a tribute to these performers who, more than any others, entertained America’s Troops while they served overseas. (B,D)

Day 3 * Thursday * October 18
Enjoy an included breakfast before checking out of our hotel. This morning we’ll board the American Rover Sailing Vessel and enjoy a cruise  of the Norfolk Harbor. Then re-board our coach for the return trip home.  (B)
