We join our local step-on guide for a fun day touring the world famous Hamptons, home to the rich and famous.  We’ll learn the history of the people who have homes here.  Tour the Montauk Lighthouse, the oldest lighthouse in New York State, and one of two commissioned by George Washington.  A stop will be made in East Hampton, voted America’s Most Beautiful Village.  Enjoy a driving tour of the estate sections of Southampton, and a special feature is a visit to the award winning Rose Garden of the Southampton Rose Society (weather permitting).  Meander through the village of Southampton with its lovely boutiques and shops.  Dinner will be included at the Publick House this evening.  (CB,D)

Day 3 * Thursday * June 21
Spend another great day in the Hamptons.  Enjoy a short sightseeing tour of Sag Harbor before continuing to the Whaling Museum filled with whaling history, scrimshaw, and local exhibits.  Visit the village of Stony Brook with its boutiques and specialty stores.  This evening’s dinner is at The Three Village Inn, a beautiful homestead where George Washington is known to have dined.  (CB,D)

Day 4 * Friday * June 22
It’s a perfect time to visit Long Island’s most visited attractions, Old Westbury Gardens and the Gold Coast Mansion.  While here a horticulturalist joins us for a gardening session before we board our coach for the journey home.  We’ll bring with us a wealth of knowledge about the “Rich and Famous of Long Island’s Hamptons.”  (CB)
