Welcome to New York’s Finger Lakes, steeped in history and tradition. An abundance of scenic beauty and amazing attractions from pristine lakes and gorgeous waterfalls to one-of-a-kind museums fill our tour. And it’s home to more than 100 wineries strewn across the region. Attractions include Corning Glass Museum, Rockwell Museum of Western Art, Montour Falls, Glenn Curtiss Museum, dinner cruise on Seneca Lake, and winery tour.
Day 1 * Thursday * July 26
All aboard for our journey north to New York Finger Lakes and wine country! We’ll enjoy a three night stay in downtown Corning at the Radisson Inn. Dinner is included featuring one of their renowned chef’s culinary specialties! (D)
Day 2 * Friday * July 27
Good morning! Today we visit the Rockwell Museum of Western Art, the “Best of the West in the East!” Home to one of the largest collections of Native American and Western Art, the exhibits span over 200 years - from native pottery and weaving to landscapes and sculpture. Our next stop is Corning Museum of Glass. See glass in a whole new light at the largest collection of art glass in the world! Watch glass blowing demonstrations, view the priceless art glass collection and browse the huge gift shop. This afternoon finds us in Hammondsport with a stop at Glenn Curtiss Museum. Discover the exploits of the fastest man on earth at this “miniature Ford Museum,” containing everything from bicycles to flying boats, and motorcycles to airplanes. Continue to Bully Hill for dinner overlooking Keuka Lake. (B,D)
Day 3 * Saturday * July 28
Enjoy a morning tour of Elmira, summer home of Mark Twain, and see where he penned his famous novels. Our lunchtime stop is the Hilltop Restaurant overlooking the Chemung River Valley, a favorite of travelers near and far. Continue to Montour Falls for a picture stop before arriving at Hazlitt Vineyard for wine tasting. Our day ends with a dinner cruise on Seneca Lake, the largest lake in the Finger Lakes Region. Day 4 * Sunday * July 29
It’s time to journey home today bringing with us many fond memories of our time spent in New York’s Finger Lakes. (B)
