Diana...A Celebration, an exhibition that celebrates the life and works of the Princess of Wales, is being presented in one of Louisville’s top museums.  One of the most remarkable women of her time, this showcase contains Diana’s magnificent royal wedding gown, designer dresses, diamond tiaras and other priceless family jewels, personal momentoes, paintings and rare home movies and photos.  Take this   opportunity to view more than 150 stunning objects  that chronicle her life!  In addition enjoy Churchill Downs, Kentucky Derby Museum, Printing House for the Blind, and an entertaining evening at Derby Dinner Playhouse.  No doubt about it...we will have a “Royal Time” in Kentucky!

Day 1 * Thursday * October 11
Welcome aboard!  Sit back and enjoy our journey into the Bluegrass State of Kentucky with its serene countryside filled with horse farms and rolling hills.  Arriving in the Louisville area our host hotel is the Holiday Inn Express.  Enjoy a free evening.   

Day 2 * Friday * October 12
We’re off to the Frazier Museum to enjoy  the exhibition showcase of  Diana...A Celebration.  See 150 stunning objects that chronicle her life from the time she was a youngster, schoolgirl, and a shy kindergarten teacher who captured the heart of the Prince and the public, to the ravishing royal bride, devoted mother, and tireless charity advocate and spokeswoman.  On display are her royal wedding gown, designer dresses, diamond tiaras and other priceless family jewels.  It’s a remarkable collection that we don’t want to miss!  Later we visit the American Printing House for the Blind, an educational facility to help persons who are blind or visually impaired.  Tonight sit back and enjoy an evening of dining and entertainment at the Derby Dinner Playhouse.  (CB,D)

Day 3 * Saturday * October 13
“Up and at it!”  We’re off to visit Churchill Downs for breakfast in their track kitchen. Watch thoroughbreds go through their morning workouts, then take a “backside” tour of Churchill Downs and visit the Kentucky Derby Museum containing memorabilia from Derby Days.  Later, visit Louisville Slugger Museum where baseball bats are made for the major league teams.  Evening finds us “rolling on the river” enjoying dinner and some fine scenery on our riverboat excursion.  (B,D)

Day 4 * Sunday * October 14
We’ve had a memorable time in the Bluegrass State of Kentucky and now we’re headed home to share our experiences with family and friends.  (CB)
