Take time away from the hustle and bustle to make  holidays memories at Washington’s Gaylord Resort.  Today we journey to our nation’s capital, Washington, D.C., to enjoy  the festivities of the holiday season.  First, we’ll visit the spectacular model train  display at the Botanical Gardens.  A mid-afternoon arrival is scheduled at Gaylord National Resort, all decked out for the holidays.  We’ll be greeted with brightly trimmed trees and twinkling lights, adding to the ambiance of the season.  We can even expect some indoor snow.  Tonight dine at our choice of restaurants within the complex.

Day 2 * Sunday * December  2
Enjoy the breakfast buffet at our leisure this morning.  And then there’s ICE, a walk through winter wonderland containing sculptures made from two million pounds of the frozen stuff.  It’s cold, so make sure to bring warm clothing including a scarf and gloves for this extravaganza.  Later we’ll go into Washington for close-up views of several monuments.  Christmas in Washington is indeed special, and we look forward to celebrating together.  (B)
