Day 2 * Tuesday * July 24
Mid morning finds us in Boston, a beautiful city filled with historic sites.  From Bunker Hill to the  USS Constitution, Boston has some of the most well preserved historic destinations in the country.  We begin along the historic Freedom Trail, viewing the Boston Common and Public Garden, the upscale Back Bay, Copley Square, the Old State House, Granary Burying Ground, and  the site of the Boston Massacre.  Visit the USS Constitution, known as “Old Ironsides,” and take a walk through the historic North End to visit the Old North Church.  It was here that the lanterns were hung to signal Paul Revere for his famous midnight ride.  Next we’ll pass by Paul Revere House.  Later visit the new site of the Boston Tea Party Ship and Museum.  Check into a local hotel for a two-night stay and enjoy an included dinner this evening.  (D)

Day 3 * Wednesday * July 25
Today visit the seafaring city of Salem and learn the history of the 1692 Witch Trials. At the House of Seven Gables, built in 1668, discover a mysterious secret staircase in this oldest surviving mansion in New England.  Arrive in Gloucester and board the Schooner Lannon for a wonderful harbor tour bringing memories of a fishing schooner a hundred years ago.  This evening we enjoy a lobster dinner before returning to our hotel.  (B,D)

Day 4 * Thursday * July 26
A morning visit to the JFK Library and Museum.  Enter this recreated world of the Kennedy Presidency for a first-hand look at John F. Kennedy’s life, legacy, and leadership.  After lunch on our own we board the Ducks, a World War II  style amphibious landing vehicle, for a unique city tour.  Then it’s “splashdown” into the Charles River for a breathtaking view of the Boston skyline, the kind of view we won’t get anywhere else.  By mid-afternoon we’ll board our coach and begin our trip home stopping in Groton, CT, for our overnight stay.  (B)
