We’ll be glad we came along on this Spring Extravaganza...the Festival of Flowers at Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina.  Visit this magnificent estate where Spring arrives with a rush of colorful, fragrant blossoms.  The seasonal  beauty is showcased with a stunning tulip display in the Walled Gardens, cascades of native and exotic blooms in their natural gardens and delicate arrangements inside Biltmore House.  Also included is a winery tour and visit to Antler Hill Village featuring unique shopping, dining, and exhibits.  

Day 1 * Saturday * April 21
Our southern journey takes us to Asheville for a visit  to the outstanding Biltmore Estate and Gardens.   Upon arrival we’ll tour the Biltmore Winery before arriving at Antler Hill Village, a dining, shopping, and exhibit complex.  A leisurely dinner  on our own can be enjoyed here. Lodging awaits for the evening at the Holiday Inn.   

Day 2 * Sunday * April 22
Spend a delightful morning at the Biltmore Estate,  the largest private home in America, furnished with priceless antiques.  View the elaborate Victorian floral arrangements and delicate bouquets that fill each room.  Wander through the exquisite gardens and stroll along paths alive with springtime color.  Seasonal favorites include dogwood, forsythia, Japanese stewartia, mock orange, and Yoshino cherry.  In addition, there are thousands of spring bulbs, poppies, hybrid azaleas, and flowering shrubs.    Sunday brunch will be enjoyed at Deer Park Restaurant on the Estate’s grounds.  Later this afternoon we’ll board our coach for the return trip home.  (B,BR)
